Sacramento, California (PRWEB) June 23, 2009 -- Ardent Energy Group (AEG) Inc, a full service biodiesel company focused on the cultivation and refining of high quality biodiesel from non-edible biological feedstock, today announced an agreement with Distribution and Finance S.A., Distrifina, of Belgium for the importation and distribution of jatropha and castor oil for the European market.

"We're creating a world-class source of fuel from non-edible sources and Distrifina has the infrastructure and expertise to bring it to the European market," said Y. Daniel Gezahegne, founder and CEO of Ardent Energy Group. "One of the largest obstacles faced by new fuel providers is distribution and our agreement with Distrifina solves that problem."

Included in the agreement is the option for Distrifina to provide equipment, and financing for equipment for the crushing and refinement of fuel sources to AEG.

AEG chose jatropha as the first source of oil due to the resiliency of the plant, its ability to grow in marginal soil conditions and the extremely high-yield of oil to hectare as compared to other crops such as soybean. The ability of jatropha to thrive in harsh climates is also favorable, as the plant will not be competing with land that could otherwise be used for food production.

Ardent Energy Group is committed to creating sustainable, safe, reliable fuel from non-edible sources. More information is available at www.ardentenergygroup.com.
